Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
In May this year Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Il volto by Pietro Annigoni. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Annigoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Princess Margaret in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 680,000.00 (€ 983,948.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il volto von Pietro Annigoni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Annigoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Margaret im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 680.000,00 (€ 983.948,67).
