Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carp, pike, eel, perch and other fish on a stone ledge by Pieter van Noort was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 7,606.30 (€ 3,321.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter van Noort have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A huntsman with dead game and a spaniel in a landscape with hounds coursing beyond in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,199.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Carp, pike, eel, perch and other fish on a stone ledge von Pieter van Noort wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 7.606,30 (€ 3.321,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter van Noort auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A huntsman with dead game and a spaniel in a landscape with hounds coursing beyond im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.199,68).
