In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A hunting still life with a heron, magpie, finch, hare and a hunting bag on a stone ledge by Pieter van Noort. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,250.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter van Noort - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A huntsman with dead game and a spaniel in a landscape with hounds coursing beyond, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,199.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hunting still life with a heron, magpie, finch, hare and a hunting bag on a stone ledge von Pieter van Noort zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.250,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter van Noort mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A huntsman with dead game and a spaniel in a landscape with hounds coursing beyond beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.199,68) versteigert wurde.
