Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wayfarers in a dune landscape by Pieter de Molijn was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,803.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Molijn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wayfarers in a dune landscape von Pieter de Molijn wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.803,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Molijn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.641,22).
