Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Quack by Pieter Jansz. Quast was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 12,037.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Jansz. Quast have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kartenspieler in einer Wachstube. 1636. in March 2018 with an auction result of CHF 60,500.00 (€ 51,518.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Quack von Pieter Jansz. Quast kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 12.037,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Jansz. Quast auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kartenspieler in einer Wachstube. 1636. im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 60.500,00 (€ 51.518,30).
