In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Head And Shoulders Study Of A Moustachioed Man In Profile, Wearing A Tall Hat by Pieter Jansz. Quast. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,811.53) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Jansz. Quast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kartenspieler in einer Wachstube. 1636. in March 2018 with an auction result of CHF 60,500.00 (€ 51,518.30).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head And Shoulders Study Of A Moustachioed Man In Profile, Wearing A Tall Hat von Pieter Jansz. Quast zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.811,53) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Jansz. Quast erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kartenspieler in einer Wachstube. 1636. im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 60.500,00 (€ 51.518,30).
