Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abdullahi Mohammed with Mainasara, Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria, 2007 by Pieter Hugo was sold in the Living Contemporary auction at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. The price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Hugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,053.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abdullahi Mohammed with Mainasara, Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria, 2007 von Pieter Hugo wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Living Contemporary bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Hugo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.053,66).
