Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Little Friends by Pieter Dupont was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,040.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Dupont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A city view with figures at a canal, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 9,987.50 (€ 4,370.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Little Friends von Pieter Dupont kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.040,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Dupont mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A city view with figures at a canal beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 9.987,50 (€ 4.370,34) versteigert wurde.
