The work A ploughteam by Pieter Dupont was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2001. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 881.25 (€ 385.62), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Dupont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A city view with figures at a canal in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 9,987.50 (€ 4,370.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit A ploughteam von Pieter Dupont wurde im Januar 2001 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 881,25 (€ 385,62) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Dupont erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A city view with figures at a canal im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 9.987,50 (€ 4.370,34).
