Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Ossenkar by Pieter Dupont for NLG 585.10 (€ 269.67). This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of NLG 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Dupont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A city view with figures at a canal in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 9,987.50 (€ 4,370.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ossenkar von Pieter Dupont für NLG 585,10 (€ 269,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Dupont erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A city view with figures at a canal im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 9.987,50 (€ 4.370,34).
