In May 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A landscape with a skirmish in the foreground by Pieter de Neyn. It changed hands for a price of EUR 11,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Neyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A landscape with a skirmish in the foreground von Pieter de Neyn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 11.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Neyn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.757,71) versteigert wurde.
