This work of art by Pieter de Neyn could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Online auction, the work A River Landscape With Fishermen On A Boat And Cottages On An Embankment changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,605.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Neyn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).
