Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,165.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Neyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).
