Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape With Travelers Ambushed On A Road At The Edge Of A Forest by Pieter de Neyn was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,165.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Neyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers Ambushed On A Road At The Edge Of A Forest von Pieter de Neyn kam im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.165,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
