Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italianate Mountain Landscape At Sunset With A Draughtsman, A Ruined Building Beyond by Pieter de Molijn was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,053.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter de Molijn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italianate Mountain Landscape At Sunset With A Draughtsman, A Ruined Building Beyond von Pieter de Molijn wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.053,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Molijn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 88.641,22) versteigert wurde.
