The work A Hilly Landscape With Travelers by Pieter de Molijn was sold in the Old Masters Online auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,446.88), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Molijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter village landscape with peasants on a frozen waterway in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 88,641.22).
