This artwork by Pieter Casteels III achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2017. In the Old Masters auction, the work Wildfowl And A Peacock In A Palace Courtyard sold for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 50,248.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Casteels III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,640,000.00 (€ 1,328,042.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Casteels III erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters wurde die Arbeit Wildfowl And A Peacock In A Palace Courtyard für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 50.248,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Casteels III erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.640.000,00 (€ 1.328.042,76).
