Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Still Life With Flowers And Fruit, With An Upturned Vase And A Sculpted Urn, In An Italianate Setting by Pieter Casteels III. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,730.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Casteels III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,640,000.00 (€ 1,328,042.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers And Fruit, With An Upturned Vase And A Sculpted Urn, In An Italianate Setting von Pieter Casteels III zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.730,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Casteels III erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.640.000,00 (€ 1.328.042,76).
