In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Family Of Chickens Fending Off A Spaniel In A Landscape by Pieter Casteels III. The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,607.62), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Casteels III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 1,640,000.00 (€ 1,328,042.76).

Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Family Of Chickens Fending Off A Spaniel In A Landscape von Pieter Casteels III zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.607,62) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Casteels III erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Twelve Months of Flowers, a floral calendar of still lifes: January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October; November; and December im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.640.000,00 (€ 1.328.042,76).
