Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A river landscape with a village and travellers on a path by Pieter Bout. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,609.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Bout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Winter Landscape With Figures Strolling And Unloading A Cart Outside The Walls of A Town, Skating And Sleighing On A Frozen River Nearby in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 84,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with a village and travellers on a path von Pieter Bout zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.609,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Bout erzielen.
