Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Studies Of An Owl And Other Birds by Pieter Boel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,855.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Boel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Swan, Rabbit And Other Game With A Parrot, Dogs, Fruit And Metalwork In A Classical Landscape in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 110,370.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studies Of An Owl And Other Birds von Pieter Boel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.855,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Boel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Swan, Rabbit And Other Game With A Parrot, Dogs, Fruit And Metalwork In A Classical Landscape im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 110.370,37).
