Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Still Life Of Turtles, An Eel, Pike, Lobsters And Other Fish On The Shore, A Ship In Stormy Seas Beyond by Pieter Boel for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,246.57). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pieter Boel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Swan, Rabbit And Other Game With A Parrot, Dogs, Fruit And Metalwork In A Classical Landscape in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 110,370.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Still Life Of Turtles, An Eel, Pike, Lobsters And Other Fish On The Shore, A Ship In Stormy Seas Beyond von Pieter Boel für GBP 14.900,00 (€ 20.246,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Boel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Swan, Rabbit And Other Game With A Parrot, Dogs, Fruit And Metalwork In A Classical Landscape im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 110.370,37).
