In the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction, the work Garcon s'appuyant sur un ane sold for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,193.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketch For Summer : The Bath in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 212,500.00.
