In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Study for 'Doux Pays' by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,439.29), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sketch For Summer : The Bath in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 212,500.00.

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for 'Doux Pays' von Pierre Puvis de Chavannes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.439,29) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Puvis de Chavannes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sketch For Summer : The Bath im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 212.500,00.
