Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors: Fine Art Online, which included the work Portrait of the artist's model by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,645.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Plaisirs de Paris' in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors: Fine Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of the artist's model von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.645,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Plaisirs de Paris' im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
