Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Petit portrait de Gabrielle or Tête de jeune fille by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 141,592.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petit portrait de Gabrielle or Tête de jeune fille von Pierre-Auguste Renoir zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 141.592,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Auguste Renoir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 22.770.478,05).
