Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Louis-Philippe-Joseph of Orléans, Duke of Chartres (1747-1793), circa 1775 by Pierre Adolphe Hall was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,829.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Adolphe Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Louis-Philippe-Joseph of Orléans, Duke of Chartres (1747-1793), circa 1775 von Pierre Adolphe Hall wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
