This artwork by Pierre Adolphe Hall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2020. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work Portrait of a lady, circa 1780 sold for GBP 5,292.00 (€ 5,911.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Adolphe Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Adolphe Hall erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, circa 1780 für GBP 5.292,00 (€ 5.911,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Adolphe Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 73.000,00.
