Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Young Lady, Circa 1780 by Pierre Adolphe Hall was sold in the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,391.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Adolphe Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.
