In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Young Boy, Traditionally Identified As Prince Joseph Poniatowski (1762-1813), Circa 1785 by Pierre Adolphe Hall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,281.77), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Adolphe Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 73,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Boy, Traditionally Identified As Prince Joseph Poniatowski (1762-1813), Circa 1785 von Pierre Adolphe Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.281,77) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Adolphe Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 73.000,00 versteigert wurde.
