Upper estimate price exceeded by 50 %.
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady by Pierre Adolphe Hall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,764.15), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Adolphe Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Dominique Vivant Denon (1747-1825), 1786 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.
