Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Orticellosigned, Titled, Dated 1966 And Inscribed Restored In 1985 On The Reverse, Painted Polyurethane by Piero Gilardi for EUR 11,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea at Sothebys in Milan and was even below the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Piero Gilardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trilite spezzato in April 2017 with an auction result of EUR 98,688.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Orticellosigned, Titled, Dated 1966 And Inscribed Restored In 1985 On The Reverse, Painted Polyurethane von Piero Gilardi für EUR 11.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Sothebys in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piero Gilardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trilite spezzato im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 98.688,00.
