Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cinghie avido, mio nome, ripetuto, nebuloso, farfallesco by Pier Paolo Calzolari was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 200,000.00 (€ 181,504.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pier Paolo Calzolari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 725,000.00 (€ 659,450.61).
