In May 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction The Great Wonderful: 100 Years of Italian Art, which included this untitled work by Pier Paolo Calzolari. The »bidding war« ended at USD 725,000.00 (€ 659,450.61), 21% above the upper estimate. With this result, this work without title is even the most expensive work of art by Pier Paolo Calzolari that we have observed at auctions so far.
