Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studio by Pier Paolo Calzolari was sold in the 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part I auction at Christies in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 50,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Paolo Calzolari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 659,450.61).
