Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Andrew by Pier Francesco Mola was sold in the Old Masters Part II auction at Christies in New York in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,234.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Francesco Mola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An artist and a youth in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,086,000.00 (€ 3,590,877.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saint Andrew von Pier Francesco Mola wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.234,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
