Auction result misses estimated price range
In January last year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a boy, head and shoulders, in a red doublet and white cap by Pier Francesco Mola for USD 23,940.00 (€ 21,352.12). This price was achieved in the auction Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Francesco Mola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An artist and a youth in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,086,000.00 (€ 3,590,877.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a boy, head and shoulders, in a red doublet and white cap von Pier Francesco Mola für USD 23.940,00 (€ 21.352,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00.
