Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work A muse presenting Simonelli to Archimedes, seated at a table by Pier Francesco Mola. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,856.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Francesco Mola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An artist and a youth in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,086,000.00 (€ 3,590,877.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit A muse presenting Simonelli to Archimedes, seated at a table von Pier Francesco Mola zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.856,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pier Francesco Mola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An artist and a youth im Januar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.086.000,00 (€ 3.590.877,36).
