Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pier Francesco Mola could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Joseph greeting his brothers changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,057.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Francesco Mola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An artist and a youth in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,086,000.00 (€ 3,590,877.36).
