Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work David With The Head Of Goliath by Pier Francesco Mola. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 305,000.00 (€ 270,150.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pier Francesco Mola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An artist and a youth in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,086,000.00 (€ 3,590,877.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings: Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit David With The Head Of Goliath von Pier Francesco Mola zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 305.000,00 (€ 270.150,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pier Francesco Mola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An artist and a youth im Januar 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.086.000,00 (€ 3.590.877,36).
