Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Halsman/Dali Portfolio by Philippe Halsman was sold in the PhotographsSummer Cut auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,800.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Halsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 75,941.68).
