Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Garel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Africaine in July 2005 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.

Die Arbeit Personaggio africano von Philippe Garel kam im Oktober 2010 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Garel erzielen.
