Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in Paris held the auction ART D'APRES-GUERRE ET CONTEMPORAIN, which included the work L'africaine by Philippe Garel. The price achieved of EUR 20,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Garel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Africaine, which sold at auction in July 2005 for EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion ART D'APRES-GUERRE ET CONTEMPORAIN durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'africaine von Philippe Garel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 20.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Garel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Africaine beobachtet, die im Juli 2005 für EUR 50.400,00 versteigert wurde.
