Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three figures standing behind a stone ledge, with a basket of peaches, melons and grapes, in a landscape by Philip van Dijk was sold in the Old Masters Part II auction at Christies in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,290.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip van Dijk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A mother and child with a basket of fruit at a casement, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 21,510.00 (€ 33,271.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three figures standing behind a stone ledge, with a basket of peaches, melons and grapes, in a landscape von Philip van Dijk wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Masters Part II bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.290,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip van Dijk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A mother and child with a basket of fruit at a casement beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 21.510,00 (€ 33.271,10) versteigert wurde.
