Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flowers by Philip Sutton was sold in the Irish and 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,048.00). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Sutton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers From Crown House, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 6,500.00 (€ 8,832.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers von Philip Sutton wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.031,50 (€ 3.048,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Sutton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers From Crown House beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 6.500,00 (€ 8.832,40) versteigert wurde.
