Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Joe Reeves; 37 years old; San Fernando, California; $40 by Philip-Lorca diCorcia. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,778.08), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip-Lorca diCorcia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 396,596.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joe Reeves; 37 years old; San Fernando, California; $40 von Philip-Lorca diCorcia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 9.778,08) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip-Lorca diCorcia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 396.596,97).
