Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Heads #24 by Philip-Lorca diCorcia. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,350.00 (€ 7,388.27). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip-Lorca diCorcia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 396,596.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heads #24 von Philip-Lorca diCorcia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.350,00 (€ 7.388,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip-Lorca diCorcia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 396.596,97).
