Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work free metallica wallpaper by Petra Cortright. The »bidding war« ended at USD 24,130.00 (€ 22,121.38), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Petra Cortright - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work DEATHKARZ "australia" and "songlines" and "dreamtime"_ 102.12018, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 56,724.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit free metallica wallpaper von Petra Cortright zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 24.130,00 (€ 22.121,38) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Petra Cortright mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit DEATHKARZ "australia" and "songlines" and "dreamtime"_ 102.12018 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 56.724,87) versteigert wurde.
