Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Dark Blue Circumvent With Cerulean by Peter Stroud. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,566.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Stroud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Relief In Black, Yellow And Blue in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,635.30).

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dark Blue Circumvent With Cerulean von Peter Stroud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.566,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Stroud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Relief In Black, Yellow And Blue im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.635,30).
