The work Panpipes by Peter McDonald was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November this year. It achieved a price of HKD 64,000.00 (€ 7,510.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter McDonald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How it is in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 182,811.81).

Die Arbeit Panpipes von Peter McDonald wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 64.000,00 (€ 7.510,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter McDonald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit How it is im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 182.811,81).
