Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Julia by Peter McDonald was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 114,750.00 (€ 13,751.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter McDonald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How it is in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 182,811.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Julia von Peter McDonald wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 114.750,00 (€ 13.751,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter McDonald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit How it is im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 182.811,81).
